7 Must-Have Cancer Resources

As you can imagine, over the past 18 months I've delved into the world of cancer pretty deeply. I have spent hundreds of hours reading, listening to, and watching many inspiring, educational & empowering resources. It is because of this I have been able to make my decisions about choosing a path less traveled with confidence, a sense of peace & most importantly: hope. Knowledge is power, and this power has enabled me to take self-responsibility where I call the shots in my healing journey.

Even if you are following the conventional route, I believe this choice can still be made consciously rather than from fear & disempowerment. Either way, you have a choice in how you support your body.

I've had many people remark on how calm I am despite living with cancer. I attribute this 'calmness' to literally arming myself with resources, not just for education but resources that offer HOPE. Especially in the beginning, I literally filled my mind with books, documentaries, podcasts, and blogs about healing modalities, alternative therapies, and holistic approaches to cancer. It is because of what I DO KNOW, rather than what I don't know, that I am able to make the decisions I do.

I have compiled a list of my favorite resources which have been absolute lifelines for me throughout this journey. There is so much information out there & whilst this list certainly isn't complete these have been some of my must-have favorites so far!

1. Radical Remission & Radical Hope by Kelly A. Turner

These were the first audiobooks I listened to after my diagnosis. Every afternoon I would pop on my earphones and walk around the block soaking up the encouraging stories of hope & optimism. It was listening to these words that also helped soothe me the night I spent in the hospital after my first lumpectomy. Despite my inability to sleep that night- from the discomfort of surgery, constant comings & goings of nurses, and beeping machines & I found great comfort, peace, and contentment in these wonderful books.

Kelly Turner, researcher, and psychotherapist specialising in Integrative Oncology shares her remarkable research on over 1,000 cases of 'Radical Remission' - people who have defied a serious or even terminal cancer diagnosis with a complete reversal of the disease. Each chapter is devoted to one of nine keys, which the author calls the most “common healing factors” among radical remission survivors.

If you have been diagnosed with cancer, these two books are definitely inspiring & easy must-reads filled with stories of real people & practical advice.

My lovely colonic hydrotherapist lent me this extraordinarily thorough book which outlines many potent and well-proven alternative strategies for preventing and treating cancer without surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation.

This book not only discusses the most effective, non-toxic cancer treatments in the world but succinctly explains the facts and deceptions about cancer and cancer treatments. Ty reveals that the "cancer box" is largely the creation of Big Pharma attempting to peddle their poisons in an effort to increase shareholder profits. Sadly, these profits are generated at the expense of cancer patients. This book is a gold mine of information.

3. Hope for Cancer by Dr. Antonio Jimenez

This is an incredibly beautifully written book that offers 7 principles to remove fear and empower your healing journey. The author is the founder of the world-renowned Hope4Cancer Treatment Centers, Mexico. Antonio is a leading name in integrative oncology. It's a treasured resource for anyone on a cancer healing journey.

More information about the Hope 4 Cancer Clinics in Mexico can be found here. They also share a lot of great content on Instagram.

I can not speak highly enough of this documentary series. It's worth more than its weight in gold & I am incredibly grateful to have had access to such incredible information. If you have been diagnosed with cancer and were to invest in one resource, this docu-series would be it! It will change your life.

The information presented in this series includes leading experts (including doctors, scientists, researchers, investigative journalists & survivors) who discuss cutting-edge treatments, ancient healing methods, and simple at-home cancer-fighting solutions in over 130 interviews. There is over 68 hours' worth of golden knowledge shared here!

Not so coincidently, (as I believe it was divinely planned) my parents had purchased this docu-series a number of years ago. After my diagnosis, I soaked up every single interview. It become a soul-soothing ritual of mine- each evening I would watch an interview & fall asleep with a sense of peace.. I truly believe it is incredibly important to infuse our minds with hope during these times and this docu-series has played a pivotal part in my journey.

Chris also has a podcast, recipe book, blog, and a cancer survival guide: 365 days of inspiration & encouragement.

Whilst the above list has been the most pivotal for me personally, there are many many more resources that have helped me along the way.

And the list continues...

I understand that this list may feel overwhelming, there is a lot of information to sift through and yes it takes time, dedication, courage, and persistence. Sometimes the smallest step in the right direction ends up being the biggest step of your life. It's time to become a powerful advocate for your own health, fill your heart with hope, and empower yourself to truly heal.
